A Simple Gesture in Greensboro is a nonprofit that helps hungry citizens by provided community-donated food. Founded by a very concerned citizen, Piedmont Website Designer built the WordPress site with mission inspiration from another “A Simple Gesture” organization. The group hands out green bags and asks citizens to fill them with suggested food items. Once a month, the group arranges for pick-up and leaves an empty bag for the next month’s donation.
The site has grown since launch and has handled their growing needs easily. They can post video, sign up volunteers and accept donations with easy-to-edit page features. Donors can check the site for pick-up dates and times, donate online, sign up to be a donor or driver and find (or become) a corporate community partner.
